Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining various types of tools and dies used in the production process. This is a crucial role that requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Duties:

- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the tool or die

- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, to fabricate parts

- Assemble parts to create complete tools or dies

- Inspect finished tools or dies for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers

- Troubleshoot issues with tools or dies and make necessary repairs or adjustments

- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve tooling designs and processes

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment

- Strong knowledge of tooling materials, machining techniques, and industry standards

- Experience in operating milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other relevant machinery

- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot tooling issues

- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
