Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Tool and Die Maker based in Tampa, FL. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager,  this person's primary focus is to change, clean, and maintain all tooling and components.  Will keep the quality standards by ensuring the continuous operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.  Also, managing the functions of the Tool Room department to aid and improve the operational performance of the facility. Bilingual is a Must.

What you’ll do:

• Follow Life-Saving Rules and all extra precautions needed to perform the job safely.
• Maintains, cleans, and paints all tooling about production needs, inspects dies, mandrels, pins, and bushings for acceptable chrome, dimensions, damage, scratches, etc. ensuring all tooling stays in good condition.
• Become a strategic planner to minimize the changeover downtime.
• Responsible, and ensuring product changeovers are made with the proper tooling per schedule.
• Keeps an adequate inventory on the shelf to keep up with the production demands, ex: heater bands, chrome cleaners, etc.
• Ensures all tooling/ tools are properly stored and kept safe to prevent damage to the tool & die.
• Coordinates chroming and maintenance to avoid interfering with the production schedule.
• Develop the tooling preventative maintenance program and keep up-to-date on the critical parts inventory.
• Responsible for the creation and implementation of best practice Tool Room vision, strategy, policies, and processes to aid and improve operational performance.
• Investigate production and quality issues related to tooling.

What you’ll bring:

• 4 years of Manufacturing, Quality, and mechanical experience.
• Computer literate and good Math skills
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Machine operation or mechanical skill-set experience, preferably in Extrusion.
• Knowledge of steel, PVC, or general manufacturing processes desired and preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Excellent math skills

 Within 3 months, you’ll bring:

• Complete any required training

• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
