  • POSITION SUMMARY
    Provides small and mid-size group account management, service, prospective sales and group consultation for Hawaii Dental Service (HDS) customers in the provision of strategic, cost effective, competitive and high quality services for the Hawaii dental market in line with the strategic mission of the company.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with Brokers, Consultants, Customers, and Prospects. Services and renews existing HDS small and mid-size groups. Prospects new small and mid-size groups and/or individuals interested in joining HDS.
    • Documents customer information in Customer Relationship Management Tool.
    • Communicates and explains information to provide advice and recommendations to groups for the management of their dental program.
    • Services customers on a timely basis; telephonically or electronically or face to face.
    • Implements small and mid-size group plan goals established by the Director of Sales.
    • Partners with internal departments on providing customer solutions.
      • Collaborates with the Director of Sales in developing expected sales growth and group retention.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    Education
    Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing or a related sales field, or an equivalent combination of education, training or working experience.
    Experience
    Two years related sales or marketing work experience preferably in the health care industry.
    Skills and Knowledge
    • Ability to organize, analyze and problem-solve complex problems.
    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with on-going distractions.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, customers, consultants/brokers, and third-party administrators on sensitive matters.
    • Ability to work with others in a teamwork environment.
    • Working knowledge of PC (prefer Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
      • Valid Hawaii driver’s license and personal transportation vehicle needed.
