GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW

HMM America Shipping Agency, Inc is seeking a driven and results-oriented individual to join our team as an Ocean Carrier Sales Executive in Cleveland. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Cleveland market and surrounding areas.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their shipping needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer shipments and resolve any issues or concerns.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONSESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

• Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the maritime or transportation industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate value propositions to clients.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for exceeding customer expectations and driving business growth.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
• Must have a driver's license and car which meets company standards.
• Must also be willing to travel outside the territory if required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, global logistics, or maritime preferred
• Requires at least 2 years of customer facing outside sales experience
• Prefers at least 3-5 years of sales experience with ocean carriers, global logistics, or international trade

ENVIRONMENT / EQUIPMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
