Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the scheduling of procedures, inventory control, QA/ QI, staff credentialing, preventative maintenance and safety, risk management and all related supporting services of the ambulatory surgical center and its personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring adherence to resident rights, policies, and procedures
- Develop and implement systems and processes to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the nursing department
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans for residents
- Oversee nursing administration tasks such as scheduling, staffing, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to address concerns, provide updates, and foster a positive work environment
Requirements:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Jersey.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in nursing supervision or nursing administration
Skills:
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in nurse management principles and practices
- In-depth understanding of medical records management and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with care planning processes and implementation
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
