ROLE
Answer multiple phone lines, transfer calls as needed to OR staff, document messages. Maintain current information in relation to patient status, organize medical record, ensure accuracy and completeness of all chart forms, posting reports promptly. Maintain computer entry for all admissions, physician order, discharges, transfers and deaths.
Enter/transcribe physician orders accurately, promptly and immediately notify appropriate staff on any STAT orders. Notify staff and appropriate ancillary department of discharge/transfers. Prepare patient charts for disposition to Medical Records.
Prepare, sort, copy and distribute correspondence, forms, reports, minutes, logs, mails and other documents in a timely, efficient manner.
