Description
This position includes the responsibilities of posting daily work, receiving income into Trust Accounts, and paying bills for all Trust/Farm Accounts. This individual must have a good knowledge of general office procedures and secretarial skills. Customer contacts are made in person, in writing, and by phone. Work should be produced in a neat and accurate manner.
Requirements
1. Checkback new accounts and create file folders.
2. Perform secretarial work for the department as requested.
3. Prepare monthly Open and Closed Account reports for the Trust Committee.
4. Prepare Social Security Payee Reports.
5. Provide customer service via phone, in person, and correspondence.
6. Maintain address file for Trust Customers and Beneficiaries and integrate into the Trust System. Review Bank Change of Address report.
7. Keep department manuals and instructions updated as requested.
8. Prepare Final and Court Accountings.
9. Send out Beneficiary withdraw right letters to Life Insurance Trusts per request.
10. Make deposits for Trust customers of income where no map is produced (unposted).
11. Pay bills for Trust and Farm accounts and processes all computer checks.
12. Maintain Escrow and Land Trust Files and mail billings for fees.
13. Process Escrow payments held in Trust.
14. Balance department daily.
15. Post and balances computer system, including sending work in the afternoon.
16. Process and pays all real estate tax bills for real estate property held by the department.
17. Process estimated taxes to Internal Revenue and Illinois Department of Revenue, quarterly.
18. Maintain balance on Bank checking accounts for Trust customers.
19. Handle ACH transfers and balances statement.
20. Process all Rent, Loan Amortization payments due to Trust Accounts.
21. Perform backup and other duties as assigned.
