Top Behavioral Health Executive plans and directs all aspects of a healthcare organization's behavioral health function.     Executive Director 

    Salary Range: $115,000 - 150,000 per year (DOE)

    Sign-on Bonus: $5,000

     

    The Executive Director is responsible for implementation of policies set by the VP of Operations, as well as annual goals and objectives, programming, and administrative management of the Stabilization & Assessment program. The Executive Director is ultimately responsible for the safety, quality and operations of the entire program.

     

    Embark's Stabilization and Assessment program is a residential treatment center dedicated to highly acute adolescents. The program specializes in the stabilization and assessment of adolescent boys ages 12 to 17 and their families. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Southern Utah and Zion's National Park, our campus in Hurricane, Utah, provides more than just treatment – we offer a warm, home-like atmosphere!”

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for overall leadership of Stabilization & Assessment program in the development and implementation of short and long range plans and policies and other activities.
    • Responsible for the financial management of the company, including assisting with the development and ensuring the implementation of the annual budget.
    • Responsible for the development, implementation, and accomplishment of  the program’s annual goals.
    • Responsible for administration of overall operation of the program, including: reviewing and evaluating the results of program activities, ensuring that continuing contractual obligations are being fulfilled; allocating resources for greater program effectiveness and efficiency; developing organizational and administrative policies and program objectives for Embark leadership consideration.
    • Assures the program is complying and maintaining appropriate standards and high quality.
    • Communicates and meets with clients and referral partners as needed.
    • Responsible for overall employee relations.
    • Provides a safe and healthy environment for students, employees and others (parents, contractors, visitors, etc).
    • Aware of legal issues and the actions that need to be taken to ensure longevity of the company.
    • Customer service skills applied to both internal and external customers.
    • Direct weekly administrative meetings and other governing body meetings as necessary
    • Attend meetings as required by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • 3 yrs management experience in residential or secure treatment settings.
    • Doctoral degree preferred. Masters Degree in human services related field.
    • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry to create diagrams, charts, statistical data and reports.
    • Current Driver’s License and clean driving record.
    • Familiarity with special terminology such as legal, medical or scientific terms.
    • Knowledge of Company policies and practices (see training manual)
    • Skill in managing available resources and creating a true team environment
    • Skill in communication both written and verbal
    • Ability to prioritize and organize
    • Ability to work effectively with other professionals
    • Knowledge of the laws regarding documentation, reporting, and confidentiality.
    • Ability to use basic computer software and hardware.
    • Ability to make critical decisions regarding students based on input from multiple sources.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, legal documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Efficiently respond to questions from students, parents, referrals, staff, members of the community, etc.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Exhibit independent judgment in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans, procedures and policies.
    • Ability to plan, direct and coordinate activities; work with health care providers, commercial vendors, government agencies, community groups and other organizations as necessary
