The Branch Executive is responsible for the overall membership and program experience at the Rock Island YMCA and Public Library. Incumbent will have full knowledge of programming, facility scheduling, budget development, fundraising, risk management, and marketing. Incumbent must possess knowledge of YMCA membership and program best practices and be able to personally lead most programs in the areas of youth, sports, wellness and childcare when needed.
Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
Three years of program-membership experience with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff.
Previous experience supervising minimum budget of $100,000 preferred.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Oral and written multilingual abilities preferred.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate budgets and analyze financial statements and financial reports.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaint from members and non- members of the YMCA or members of the business community.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Develop comprehensive annual program plan. Foster a climate of innovation in accordance with association strategic plans and the mission matrix.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate branch membership and program staff. Ensure facility is appropriately staffed during all open hours.
Lead and develop branch and department budgets.
Responsible for branch risk management program.
Collaborate with maintenance and administrative staff to provide high quality facilities and equipment.
Serve on team of staff leadership that develops and implements annual marketing program, including high quality membership engagement strategies.
Take a leadership role in the annual campaign.
Relate to boards and committees as assigned.
Maintain a professional image of the YMCA in the facility and community. D emonstrate excellent personal appearance standards and uphold similar standards for your staff.
Promote and incorporate the Y mission and four core values into all programs and events.

Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance.
Ability to obtain YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification within two years.
Ability to complete Blooborne Pathogen, Harrassment and CPR/AED certifications within 90-days of employment.
