The Executive Assistant provides strategic executive, administrative, and development support to Lake Region Healthcare’s Vice Presidents of Professional Services & Ambulatory Care. The Executive Assistant plays an extremely important role within the executive function, ensuring efficient and effective operations for the clinic leadership team. The incumbent must be highly proactive and be able to effectively manage and exercise initiative in resolving situations that do not require the leaderships' attention. He/she must have excellent decision-making skills and a keen sense of priorities in managing requests for the leaderships' time, as well as assisting with time management for the Vice Presidents. The position is a visible extension of the executives and must demonstrate a commitment to the organizational philosophy of operating within a person-centered care environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The position functions as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the the clinic leadership team, and will organize and coordinate executive outreach and external relations efforts and oversee special projects. The Executive Assistant has contact with trustees, employees, medical and clinical staff, volunteers, patients, community leaders, and personnel. The incumbent has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences and act with discretion. The Executive Assistant must be flexible in rearranging his/her schedule as priorities necessitate. The incumbent establishes the work procedures and priorities within imposed deadlines.
