Monro offers our guests a wide range of tire choices and repair services, such as exhaust, brake, suspension, alignment, ride control, tire, battery, electrical, air conditioning and scheduled maintenance services under several leading brands.  We are a publicly traded company and a top performer on the NASDAQ both in our results and our return to our investors. Job DescriptionThe Senior Director of Supply Chain and Category Manager is responsible for providing direction and guidance to the supply chain and category management teams to ensure consistent review and alignment of sourcing and service of major products for the business.  In addition, this position supports the Monro initiatives and works with Senior Leadership on a regular basis to compare costs, coop impact, and service level improvements.  The Senior Director of Supply Chain and Category Manager is responsible for reviewing and analyzing leading indicators for consumer and industry trends that propel the tire businessCompensation:  The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. Pay will be determined based on experience level.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.Utilizes insights to devise long-term strategies and tactics to ensure sustainable and profitable growth across Monro’s tire category.Responsible for managing a team that ensures consistent and timely reviews of the retail footprint and supply and service levels of vendors in combination with the cost of products. Maintains a service grid and map with consistent reporting on improvement of product availability and turns of inventory.Consistent review of the distribution structure focused on pursuing a “Just in Time” support model. Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes.Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. Review with the category management and marketing teams sources for stocking aligned brands and specific products with supply points.  Focusing on stocking top movers and sourcing lower-level movers through supply points with reasonable service.Responsible for assisting with competitive shopping and maintaining a database on pricing to ensure Monro maintains accurate pricing on products and services on a geographical (market) basis.Work with supply points to develop a constant reverse logistics program reducing slow-moving inventory.Analyze consumer and industry data and trendsDevelop long-term strategies and tactics for the tire and parts categoriesFoster relationships and purchase programs with key suppliers – ensure Monro has the right tire, right time, right price, and at the right place to serve our guestsManage the Tire Product Screen to determine product positioning to optimize tire unit volume, price, and mixAnalyze and update pricing programs for tire and parts categoriesProvide store teammates with sales and merchandising tools that support Monro’s Good, Better, Best product screen methodologyAs warranted, expand assortments, fine-tune offerings, or develop exit strategies for unsuccessful productsCollaborate with marketing teams to ensure promotional activity and retail pricing supports guest traffic, conversion, and outlet loyaltyEnsure program and vendor volume commitments are met within a framework of high service support for a frontline sell-out.Review and implementation of improvements to storefront involvement—allowing for needed products to be present without store manager involvement. Continually rationalize Category lines to maximize sales and margin opportunitiesCombining input from Senior Management, Category Management, Finance, and Marketing to source proper options to grow the availability of coop, margin, and sales through turns and volume improvement.Other duties, as assigned. Management Responsibility:  The Senior Director of Supply Chain and Category Management will lead, develop, manage and coach the respective teams and collaborate with the VP of Merchandising, Marketing, Commercial President/CEO, and Senior Leadership Team on supply chain and category management initiatives.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent experience in supply chain and vendor souring.Four or more years of distribution and vendor relationship experience. Two or more years in the auto parts, tires, or auto service industry.Knowledge & Skills:Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong communication and phone skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Critical thinker and problem-solving skillsStrong analytical and data interpretation skillsStrong leadership and demonstrated team development skillsAbility to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to teammates, vendors, and Senior Management in person or over the telephone.Ability to calculate complex comparisons combining multiple sources, service levels, prices, and product options.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Closing Statement:This brief summary is not an all-inclusive description of job duties.  Other job duties and responsibilities may also be assigned by the incumbent’s Manager at any time based on Company needs.Monro Inc. is a proud Equal Opportunity employer, m/f/d/v. Additional InformationBenefits  Health Insurance  Dental Insurance 401K Retirement Plan with Company Match Paid vacation Paid Holidays Career Development Employee DiscountsYour next Destination!Growth Opportunity: At Monro we’re committed to helping our teammates grow their career through the combination of coursework, demonstrating leadership skills and open opportunities.
