Job Summary
As a Category Buyer at Berk Enterprises, you will represent the Procurement Team in the management of a specific product category. This role is also responsible for fostering and maintaining healthy vendor relationships with our vendor base, Project Management and Inventory Management activities related to assigned product categories. This role requires a range of procurement activities including analysis of spend, purchasing, management of vendor relationships, and problem solving.

What you will be doing during your career with Berk Enterprises:
- All Purchase Activity for assigned product category.
- Process requests for information accurately through quotes & bids.
- Facilitate our sales organization by sourcing products from established vendors.
- Work directly with Marketing team to ensure competitive pricing and beneficial purchasing activity in alignment with company goals.
- Manage RFQ activity for assigned Categories.
- Vendor Relationship Management - monitor vendor performance to ensure they are meeting our expectations in Cost, Service, Delivery, Quality, and Risk.
- Resolve Vendor Payment issues with Finance team to ensure that we are meeting our financial obligations to vendors.
- Work with Product Management to offer domestic replacement solutions for out-of-stock product and drive sales for assigned product category.
- Update order details in system database relating to expected delivery date, cost, etc.
- Continuously research the assigned categories of products from other areas of the world.

- 3 years’ relevant experience
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Supply chain concepts and Purchasing procedures
Education Requirements
·Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
