Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Channel Development Manager for the Florida markets. As a strategic partner with Walmart, the Channel Development Manager champions our brands through building and sustaining strong relationships with channel partners in order to drive increased brand penetration and profitable sales volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and executes channel development strategies in alignment with company objectives, for example, upsell rollbacks, DTW pallets, equipment placements, and incremental flex space.
- Delivers sales target for assigned area and accounts through the maintenance and expansion of distribution (close store white space voids and grow existing space in low volume stores), merchandising and space improvements, growing Utz Brands, Inc., UBI, share in the assigned territory.
- Participates in the Utz Area Vice President biweekly execution meetings to share direction and information regarding execution at Walmart and other assigned accounts, for example, Target.
- Secures Market Manager meetings with 50% of assigned customer field management team per quarter.
- Assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. Meets with the Division VPs or key stakeholders for assigned accounts at least quarterly to share feedback and make recommendations.
- Tracks, maintains, and reports accurate analysis of business results within assigned accounts including, but not limited to account performance, new business development, market trends and activities, and sales predictions.
- Reports growth opportunities to the VP of Sales Ops. within the assigned region(s).
- Spends time facilitating execution in the market with both customer and Utz field management teams, including SODs and VPs of Sales Ops., to grow total sales and market share by enhancing overall execution while building and sustaining strategic relationships, gaining space to expand on the brands available to the market with a common goal to accelerate sales to meet the customers' expectations.
- Supports sales for key holidays and seasonal events such as the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day, March Madness, etc.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with Independent Operators, IOs, and key personnel within the assigned accounts, maintaining a high level of customer service and brand loyalty.
- Meets with internal and external stakeholders to communicate initiatives ensuring program execution, cross-selling opportunities, and integrity of promotional strategies.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a snacks, food, or other CPG environment.

- Has a strong understanding of the market with the ability to represent the entire range of company
products and promotional services available to assigned accounts.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast paced sales environment.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and proactively manage
those relationships.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a dynamic business environment.
- Strong understanding of Walmart/Target operations, for selling at the local level, and developing those
relationships.
