Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Fulltime

Location: Houston, TX (1 day per week onsite)

ComTec is looking for a Business Systems Analyst who has good technical, analytical and writing skills and can develop the documentation required for a software implementation project. Must have experience developing project documentation required for Waterfall/Stage Gate Project Methodology.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business requirements gathering workshops and document business requirements/ functional specification
• Able to create Integration requirements specification.
• Analyse current business processes and document AS-IS business process flows.
• Work with business stakeholders in developing TO-BE business process flows.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications/ technical design document and produce relevant support documentation.
• Develop documentation required for each phase/stage of the Stage Gate (Waterfall) process. Some of the documentation includes:

• Business requirements / Functional specification
• Integration requirements specification
• Technical design specification
• Test scenarios, Test cases and Defect management
• Requirements traceability matrix
• Solution design document
• Configuration management plan

• Should be willing to help PM & project team with any other documentation that comes on demand
• Involve in all stages of the software development lifecycle and continuously should act as a liaison between the customer and the team.
• Develop test cases, test plans & test scenarios and has experience with any of the defect management system

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst.
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in an enterprise-level IT environment.
• Experience developing AS-IS and TO-BE business process flows.
• Must have extensive experience working with Waterfall Methodology.
• Extensive experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Must have in-depth knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes, the ability to identify, capture, and translate business requirements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation, selection, organization, and presentation of information in a concise and coherent manner.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and coordination skills.
