POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Outcomes Specialist/Clinical Nurse Specialist is a Masters’ or Doctoral prepared Registered Nurse who functions as a resource to nurses and patients to improve quality care outcomes within Acute Care. The COS works within the Department of Clinical Excellence to facilitate evidence-based practice implementation, positively influencing nursing care in collaboration with the Patient Care Services team. Using a data-driven approach, the COS leads sustainable change to elevate nursing professional practice and ensure seamless, quality patient care across the continuum. The COS applies influence across the three spheres of patient/family, staff, and system to transform healthcare delivery.
