SUMMARY:
The Manager, Nursing Persistence and Outcomes reports to the Campus Dean of Nursing and is responsible for effectively delivering and maintaining a comprehensive student focused Persistence and Outcomes program. The Manager will utilize specific tools/resources to collect and analyze data for its tactical utilization, vendor specific resource use and management to ensure quality student learning experiences and promote student success. The Manager will focus on the development, implementation, oversight, evaluation, and maintenance of their campus based comprehensive Persistence and Outcomes program, with a goal of maintaining and sustaining 90% student persistence and licensure pass rates. The Manager will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives, creates new methods to improve NCLEX performance and proposes developments in curriculum to address NCLEX subject matter and course specific challenges to student persistence. The Manager supervises and manages their team while continually assessing programmatic competence, mentoring and facilitating faculty while enabling an environment which fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Master degree in nursing from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration required. Doctorate preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five years as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care or equivalent and/or education.
Mastery in knowledge of one or more related disciplines (Pre-licensure Nursing)
Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.
Experience in teaching in a university or college setting required as defined by University’s faculty handbook.
