A leading acute care organization located in southeastern Virginia is now seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Cardiac Surgery to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This nationally leading medical center specializes in interventional cardiac procedures and is home to more than 100 inpatient beds as well as ~50 pre/post procedural suites and 6 cath labs. This facility is proud to perform more than 2,000 cardiac surgeries each year and consistently ranks among the countries top 50 heart programs nationwide.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will join a 20-bed Cardiac Surgical ICU that cares for patients who’ve undergone open heart surgeries such as CABG, valve repairs or replacements, aneurysm repairs, TAVR, ablations, heart transplants, mechanical circulatory support devices, and various lung surgeries. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will possess expert clinical knowledge and will be able to drive practice changes throughout the organization and promote health and quality of life for each patient. This role is also responsible for providing direct care support, coaching, and collaboration.

What Makes You Awesome:

• Master’s degree in Nursing MSN
• Clinical Nurse Specialist CNS certification
• Prior cardiac surgical experience is highly desirable
