This individual will be responsible for the inpatient clinical education and education assistance, as well as the outpatient clinical education.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for being an expert in their field and will be a department resource for the Nursing Leaders, Nurses and support staff. The Clinical Nurse Educator will coordinate department in-service meetings and staff training activities. This individual needs to be innovative and passionate about clinical education.
The Clinical Nurse Educator is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of Nursing Education and Patient Care. This person will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff.
