- Job Responsibilities: Ensures that all processes contributing to the performance of a clinical trial are conducted properly. Troubleshoots clinical trials and activities. Manages and maintains databases for the quality system. Provides oversite for any regulatory requirements i.e initial submission, continuing reviews, protocol deviations, and safety reporting. Ensures that the coordinator / Principal Investigator reports, in a timely manner, Adverse Events and Serious Adverse Events. Prepares and assists in preparing annual reports and quality trending reports. Reports the status of the quality levels of staff, systems and production activities. Presides over regularly scheduled IRB clinics. Facilitates and organizes Protocol Review Committee meetings. Evaluates quality events, incidents, queries, and complaints. Keeps up to date with all related quality legislation and compliance issues Compiles and prepares materials for submission to regulatory agencies. Documents internal regulatory processes and Standard Operating Processes. Ensures regulatory rules are communicated through corporate policies and procedures. Utilizes guidance documents, international standards, or consensus standards and interpret for guidance. Ensures that investigator, vendor, facility and system audits are conducted according to hospital and University policies. Communicates any critical compliance risks noted from these activities to senior management. Assumes a lead role for the preparation, conduct, and responses to regulatory agency. Provides leadership and strategy in line with global strategic objectives. Assumes a lead role in preparing any contracting needs between vendors, sponsors, and the facility. Assumes a lead role in preparing any financial and budgeting needs between vendors, sponsors, and the facility Follows up on status of outstanding contracting or budgetary needs. Maintains regulatory certificates, training documents, licensures, and supporting documents for all active research staff. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Huntington is in the southwestern corner of West Virginia, on the border with Ohio, on the southern bank of the Ohio River, at the confluence with the Guyandotte River.
