    Position Overview:

    As the Marketing and Communications Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping HITEC's brand identity, enhancing our visibility, and driving engagement across various channels. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including executives, members, and external partners. Your strategic vision and exceptional communication skills will be instrumental in advancing HITEC's mission.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Brand Strategy and Positioning:
      • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with HITEC's mission and values.
      • Define and communicate HITEC's unique value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.
      • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
    1. Content Creation and Distribution:
      • Create compelling content (articles, press releases, social media posts, etc.) that highlights HITEC's initiatives, events, and thought leadership.
      • Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce relevant and engaging content.
      • Manage content distribution through various channels, including the HITEC website, social media, newsletters, and industry publications.
    1. Event Promotion:
      • Develop marketing and communication plans for HITEC events (conferences, webinars, workshops, etc.).
      • Drive attendance through targeted campaigns, email marketing, and social media promotion.
      • Collaborate with event organizers to ensure seamless execution.
    1. Digital and Social Media Management:
      • Oversee HITEC's digital presence, including the website, social media platforms, and online communities.
      • Monitor analytics and track performance metrics to optimize engagement.
      • Leverage social media to amplify HITEC's voice and engage with our community.
    1. Internal Communications:
      • Facilitate effective communication within HITEC's leadership team, board members, and volunteers.
      • Coordinate regular updates, newsletters, and announcements.
      • Foster a collaborative and informed organizational culture.
    1. Collaboration and Partnerships:
      • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including membership, events, and programs.
      • Collaborate with external partners, sponsors, and industry associations.
      • Identify opportunities for strategic alliances and joint initiatives.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred).
    • Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in marketing, communications, or public relations.
    • Strong understanding of the technology industry and its trends.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
    • Passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech sector.
