We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented professional for the front desk operation of a high volume, patient-service oriented health center in Brewster, NY. Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Centers offers a competitive salary and great benefits, including low cost health insurance, 401(k) participation, and a generous paid leave package. Must have experience in a medical setting using an Electronic Medical Records system. Work experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Welcoming and greeting patients and visitors;
Answering or referring inquiries through the screening of walk-in patients or the navigating of phone calls to appropriate personnel while responding to possible emergencies and following protocol;
Maintaining all current patient information in EMR, including demographics, Primary Care Provider information, insurance and financial information for potential utilization of Health Center's sliding scale for self-pay patients; and
Managing all aspects of appointment (both scheduled and walk in) to ensure that patient receives appropriate treatment and follow up,
Candidates must possess:
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Experience working as a front desk receptionist in a healthcare setting with high volume customer service;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Working knowledge of e-Clinical Works (ECW) or similar EMR system;
The ability to work in a confidential environment in order to protect patients' personal and financial information a must.
