Top Community Health Executive focuses on advancing local, state and national health advocacy efforts. Clinical Psychologist – Monterey / Salinas (Hybrid)

  • As a clinical psychologist at EMH, you will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. We focus on providing clinicians with the tools needed to succeed in their roles. You will work directly with a trained clinical manager and the support team to enhance your skill set and experience working with this complex population.

    • Assess, diagnose, and treat residents in skilled nursing facilities. You will have the opportunity to provide mental health services to a diverse and medically complex population, including geriatric patients, patients with disabilities, and those with complex psychiatric histories.
    • Maintain an active caseload and work with the team to maintain a referral stream.
    • Develop relationships with facility staff and provide consultation e.g. curbside consult, in-services as needed, etc.
    • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
    • Document-based on medical necessity and in accordance with Medicare standards.

     



    Requirements

    • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., PsyD) in Clinical Psychology (required)
    • Current and valid California state license as a Psychologist (required)
    • Medicare Provider eligibility (required, our in-house billing team assists with this)
    • Ability to be placed on 3rd party insurer panels (required, we assist with this process)
    • Strong clinical background in evidence-based practices
    • Telehealth experience and/or willingness to learn and utilize modality
