Top Community Health Executive focuses on advancing local, state and national health advocacy efforts. Responsible for overseeing community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Being a Top Community Health Executive determines community health initiatives to pursue and directs best practices implementation. Participates in and approves grant proposals and monitors overall use of grant funds. Additionally, Top Community Health Executive oversees all community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Typically requires a master's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. Position Overview
A Community Health Worker is a front line public health worker who is a trusted member of and/ or has unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the HCW-PC to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.
A CHW-PC also builds individual and community capacity by increasing the knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy.
Location and Hours of Position
PHN New Castle PC and Ellwood City HC. The general office hours for this position is 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. The position is located in Lawrence, PA.
Compensation
Minimum salary of $36,000 per year. PHN recognizes experience, education and job location when determining wages.
