The client is seeking an experienced Benefits Account Executive for Life and Health Benefits division. Position Summary:
The Benefits Account Executive is responsible for providing service, guidance, and technical expertise for Benefits Clients, as well as personally managing their assigned book of clients. Under the direction of the Department Manager, this position will work closely with the Benefits Team to grow the existing client base and maximize cross-selling opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of employer group benefits trends, general administration, and compliance
Resolve customer service problems/questions/billing issues quickly
Review policy renewals and market as necessary
Manage implementation and administration of client benefits and policies
Review policy issuance to ensure accuracy based on coverage quoted/requested
Document customer interactions and transactions thoroughly & promptly in agency benefit management system
Participate in employer benefit meetings and prepare presentations for client appointments
Comply with Agency procedures, Company guidelines and requirements
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years insurance and/or HR experience preferred
· Life and Health License and Designations required; company will provide
· Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills; must be an effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships
· Established history of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without supervision
· PC proficiency required, including MS Office. Knowledge of other industry-specific or custom software a plus.
