    CTG is seeking to fill a Microsoft Purview Consultant – Records Labeling Project opening for our client in Anchorage, AK.

     

    Location: Remote

    Duration: 10 months

     

    Overview:

    As a Microsoft Purview Consultant specializing in Records Labeling, you will lead the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Purview solutions to enhance data governance and compliance within the client organization. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing strategies for accurately labeling and classifying records, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies. You will work closely with clients to understand their specific record management needs, develop custom labeling frameworks, and configure Purview instances to effectively manage and classify records across their data landscape.

     

    Duties:

    • Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to assess their record management requirements and compliance objectives. Analyze existing record management processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement. Effectively convey the benefits and/or limitations of the selected solution, i.e. identify and assess the impact of the initiative on the client’s existing tenancy, related systems, and workflows. Utilize previous implementation experiences to identify lessons learned, best practices and potential pitfalls.
    • Solution Design: Design tailored data governance frameworks and labeling strategies to meet clients' record management needs and regulatory obligations. Develop comprehensive plans for classifying records accurately using Microsoft Purview.
    • Records Labeling Implementation: Lead the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Purview instances to support records labeling initiatives. Customize metadata schemas, understand classification policies, and configure data lineage tracking to ensure accurate record classification.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that records labeling strategies and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards. Provide guidance on best practices for maintaining compliance within Purview.
    • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training sessions and workshops to educate clients' teams on records labeling processes and the use of Microsoft Purview for effective record management. Foster knowledge transfer to enable clients to sustainably manage records labeling initiatives.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Document the design, configuration, and implementation processes for records labeling projects using Microsoft Purview. Create comprehensive documentation, including user guides and best practice recommendations, to support ongoing operations and maintenance.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data governance specialists, compliance officers, and IT professionals, to ensure alignment between records labeling initiatives and broader data governance objectives.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Proven experience in implementing data governance or data management solutions, with a focus on records management and classification.
    • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to records management, data privacy, and compliance.
    • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Microsoft Purview instances, particularly for records labeling and classification purposes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design effective records labeling strategies tailored to client needs.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Azure, data management, or records management (Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate preferred).

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.

    Pay Range

    USD $95,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
