Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Golf Construction Laborer to help build and grow-in a golf practice facility. This position is temporary for the 2024 season but may lead to other opportunities at the club. Experience with machines is a plus, but will train the right individual. You will assist in various golf construction practices, performing a range of tasks to support the completion of the project. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties:
· Assist with the preparation and cleanup of site
· Perform basic golf construction tasks such as digging trenches, hand raking, using power tools, grading, fertilizing, pulling weeds, etc.
· Assist with the installation of irrigation, drainage, sod, seed, tee/green mix, drainage gravel, and rock wall
Requirements:
· Previous experience with machinery and/or landscaping is a plus, but will train the right individual
· Ability to be trained to operate farm tractors with various attachments, golf carts with various attachments, machine driven rakes,
· Ability to learn and be taught on the fly
· Ability to use power tools and small machinery safely and effectively
· Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
· Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
· Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
· Open to working/helping in other departments of the club as needed
Note: This position is outdoors. Must be able to work in any conditions except lightning.
