    Role Summary:
    The Executive Vice President of Construction (EVPC) is a key executive of the company and represents

    Prevost’s values in every way while forwarding the mission of Building Environments for People to Flourish,

    both internally and externally. The EVPC has direct responsibility for the overall construction operations

    of the company including high level oversight of all project teams in the life science, office, and multifamily

    rehab divisions of the company and is responsible for the achievement of the company’s annual revenue

    and gross profit goals.

    The EVPC works closely with its fellow Executive Team members to set the strategic direction of the

    company and coordinates with the HR, accounting, and operations leaders to ensure a smooth execution

    and integration with each departments. The EVPC ensures each project team is staffed appropriately and

    provides high level oversight for all field operations to ensure the successful execution of project, field,

    and safety objectives for all projects. The EVPC is a member of the Leadership Team and Executive Team

    and reports directly to the President/CEO.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Executive Leadership

    • As a key member of the Executive Team, the EVPC brings high-level topics and ideas to the Executive
    Team for consideration and discussion in support of achieving our short- and long-term strategic goals

    and initiatives.

    • As a key member of the Leadership Team, the EVPC leads and oversees the execution of select

    company initiatives and focuses on building effective leaders throughout the company.

    • Provides guidance and support to Project Executives in leading and developing their project team

    members.

    • Mentors/coaches senior project team members as required to ensure a deep bench of current and

    future leaders and high performers.

    • Oversees and supports the construction division leaders in determining adequate staffing

    qualifications and experience for each project.

    • Collaborates with HR and Operations Leaders in developing leadership and technical training

    programs. Develops select content for the ongoing learning and development of all project team

    members.

    • Provides high level leadership to the Director of Field Operations and/or General Superintendent(s)

    to ensure we maintain strong field expertise and disciplined execution on key field and safety practices

    across all Prevost projects.

    Project Execution
    • Responsible for negotiating owner contracts and ensuring all contracts are within acceptable risk

    parameters, in collaboration with Project Executives. Ensures all key obligations and requirements are
    understood and met by project teams and accounting staff.

    • Oversees the estimating department and preconstruction activities to ensure projects are set up to

    meet scope, schedule and budget objectives and expectations.

    • Responsible for guiding the monthly job cost review and project success reporting processes and

    proactively identifying and ensuring resolution of project issues.

    • Initiates high level interface with clients to proactively resolve issues and nurture key relationships

    within each industry segment.

    • Identifies and leads continuous improvement initiatives taken from client feedback surveys to

    improve the client experience.

    • Responsible for leading project operations and refining project execution models as needed to meet

    the long-term and annual financial goals of the company.

    • Responsible for driving performance, as measured by KPIs, to ensure targeted profit margins are

    achieved through disciplined adherence to established procedures from project start-up through

    close-out. Creates new initiatives and refines existing procedures as required for optimal performance

    and productivity.

    • Ensures we strive to set partners and subcontractors up for success and continue to be the preferred

    general contractor to work with and to recommend.

    Project Acquisition
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining trust-based relationships with key clients and strategic

    partners to ensure recurring project opportunities.

    • Maintains active involvement in industry-based trade organizations to broaden networking

    opportunities and expand key relationships throughout targeted market segments.

    • Leads and oversees the project acquisition/business development strategies to achieve the planned

    growth goals.

    • Guides the go/no go decisions to ensure we stay focused on the right clients and the right projects.
    • Leads and oversees the Business Development Manager in effectively identifying key opportunities,

    meeting preliminary budgeting objectives, and running effective capture plan meetings for new

    project opportunities.

    • Guides Project Executives and senior team members through interview prep and presentations.
    • Optimizes our capture rate on RFP responses and interviews. Coordinates with BD Manager to

    innovate and continually improve our interview approach and process.

    Strategic Planning and Growth
    • As a key member of the Leadership and Executive Teams, the EVPC is a leader in establishing and

    executing quarterly, annual, and long-term company growth goals.

    • Maintains expert industry and market trend knowledge to contribute to the generation of the

    Strategic Plans

    • In collaboration with the Executive Team, identifies and guides growth strategies for each of our active

    markets.

    • Provides input and insights to support the analysis of potential new markets and industry sectors.
    • Works closely with the Head of Operations to innovate and continually improve organizational

    strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Brings new ideas to promote and prioritize continued growth and strategic growth initiatives for the

    company.

    Qualifications:
    • High level of emotional intelligence is required

    • A growth mindset and strong desire to coach and mentor others is required
    • A strong track record of effectively leading and fostering an engaged team culture is required
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies is required
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex construction projects as a Project Manager and Project

    Executive is required

    • 15 years of experience in commercial general contracting is required
    • 5 years as a Project Executive (or equivalent) for a commercial general contractor is required
    • Experience leading multiple Project Managers or Project Executives is required
    • Experience managing life science and office tenant improvements is strongly required
    • Experience managing multi-family and/or senior housing projects is a plus
