The Executive Assistant performs a wide variety of responsible, complex and confidential administrative and secretarial duties for the CNO. This position is also responsible for providing additional help to the Administrative Team when requested. The assistant performs duties that require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, mature and independent judgment; requires excellent communication and strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Requires knowledge of corporate, hospital and departmental policies and procedures; requires knowledge of CMS CoP, Title 22 and other regulatory requirements. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the CNEO. The Executive Assistant serves as a liaison to Nursing leadership. Establishes priorities in all work and assures that assigned tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner while following Mercy Medical Center's Standards of Performance. The Executive Assistant needs to be able to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer/patient service and response. This position is classified as confidential and the incumbent must be flexible with schedule. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
