The Lancaster Chamber is seeking a part-time Data Management Intern to assist in preparing our Wage & Benefits survey. The internship will run Summer 2024 from June-August. This internship has a hybrid model and will require presence onsite at the Lancaster office 1-2 days weekly. 

Objectives:

Interpret data for distribution to the business community.

Prepare and launch results for the business community.

Revise and prepare the next Wage & Benefits Survey for the business community.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting the Lancaster Chamber in administering the Wage and Benefits Survey:

• Maintain accurate contact information for participating companies in the Chamber’s database.
• Maintain contact with Wage and Benefits Survey participants and ensure timely communication upon report completion.
• Prepare a series of materials for distribution to the business community, including a primary full-scale report.
• Assist with coordinating a launch event for the primary report.
• Update the Wage and Benefits Survey to reflect the new participation year and relevant participant suggestions.
• Connect with past participants to promote participation in the current Wage and Benefits Survey
• Assist with other data management projects as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Abide and follow The Chamber’s internal vision statement.
• Interest and/or experience in data analysis
• Interest and experience in creating infographics and other data-driven marketing materials.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and database experience
• Proficiency with data tracking and scrubbing
• Ability to utilize SurveyMonkey.
• Ability to execute all duties for the Lancaster Chamber in a professional manner, while working with Chamber Members and community stakeholders

Outcomes:

1. The ability to coordinate a large-scale data project.
2. Experience working under deadlines with targeted expectations.
3. Data analysis experience – including database maintenance and data scrubbing.
4. Working in a professional organization with diverse clients and stakeholders
5. Limited event planning experience
6. Experience preparing data reports for the business community.
7. Ability to communicate progress to supervisors and organizational leaders.

Additional Information:

The schedule for this internship is part time and flexible and able to be completed in a hybrid work environment. THIS IS NOT A FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY.
