The Director of Distribution is responsible for maintaining and building the foodservice, beverage and equipment distribution network for all Marco’s stores ensuring high service levels, proper product placements, cost competitiveness, compliance to Marco’s programs and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct and implement operational strategy, business processes & systems for overall distribution operations.
- Establish key metrics & performance targets for all distribution related functions.
- Monitor key metrics and drive performance to identify deficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
- Proactively identify supply chain savings and partnership opportunities in the distribution network.
- Build relationships with all stakeholders while holding accountability for service and compliance performance.
- Manage and create strategies and specific objectives for departmental subfunctions.
- Develop budgets, policies, and procedures in support of the departmental infrastructure.
- Work closely with purchasing and procurement to bring forth supply chain consistency and unparalleled performance.
- Work directly with Distribution Center Network to develop implementation plans for new product introductions and Limited Time Offers to comply with marketing and purchasing schedules.
- Establish service for emerging markets, both domestic and international.
- Network modeling for greatest efficiency and long-term growth
- Responsible for evaluating, quoting, and awarding logistic strategies including freight lanes from suppliers to distributors.
- Lead, manage and develop direct report(s) engaged in distribution management activities other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain related field or commensurate work experience.
- 8 years of Manager level experience managing multiple sub functions within a department.
- 5 years in foodservice distribution
- Demonstrable results in service excellence and cost savings in a foodservice environment
- Freight lane management
- Some travel will be required.
Preferred:
- International experience in establishing distribution networks.
- Experience in both private and 3rd party distribution
- Project management
