Responsibilities:

• Basic operation of Swiss style CNC lathes
• Measure and inspect and make dimensional adjustments
• Ensure first piece production and internal documentation is complete and within customer/company specifications following setup-up
• Visual inspection of the parts manufactured
• Perform machine maintenance documentation and departmental housekeeping as required
• Communicate with fellow employees about production jobs and machine operations and assist in operation as needed
• Constantly learning and improving proficiency on operation of CNC style Swiss lathes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Basic shop math and use of precision measuring instruments
• Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows based applications
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
• Able to see, feel and hear surface and functional defects and handle small parts
• Able to meet normal quality and quantity standards
