The Diversity and Culture Business Partner will help drive and implement diversity initiatives to assist in attracting, hiring, and maintaining a diverse workplace. This role will also focus on company values and philosophy through training and content development activities that are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision. The position works with the HR/Organizational Development Team to identify and address employee and organizational development needs. The position is responsible for ensuring effective training programs are in place to enable the achievement of desired business results. Training programs focus on a variety of topics: including diversity, equity and inclusion, company culture, values, competencies and emerging leadership skills. Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops training programs.
This position also focuses on:
Supports the Culture/Org Development team as a back up for the Emerging Leadership Development program, New Employee On boarding program, and other culture initiatives (i.e. Culture Ambassador Program/Employee Engagement Activities). Assists in tracking the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback from supervisors; evaluates the effectiveness of the current training. Develops participant and instructor materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, job aids, etc). Develops self-paced e-learning, instructor-led training (both in-person and virtual classroom material).
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, coordinate, track and measure organizational DEI initiatives and overall plan. Researches, develops, recommends, and executes training, activities, and programs, to foster the organizations diversity goals.
Business partnership will include assessing the current state and identifying best practices to move the business forward while maintaining knowledge of diversity- related issues, legislation, and best practices. Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate the company's population in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
Leads the support and development of Employee Resource Groups.
Works with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR staff, and trains hiring managers on how to select, manage, evaluate and retain diverse employees.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
EXPERIENCE: Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A high school degree or equivalent. Some college preferred.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
OTHER SKILLS: Ability to work independently with minimal or no direction.
Full Time Position
Compensation Range: $48,609 - $60,762
Eligibility for employment is dependent on bondability, background and credit check.
