    Modular Devices is in a high-growth phase, recently joining O2 Investment Partners, a PE firm out of Michigan, to become a new investment platform in their portfolio of companies. As we continue to expand our business organically and through acquisitions, we are seeking a talented Cleanroom National Business Development Executive.
    Job Description: Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Cleanroom National Business Development Executive position will be working either from our Indianapolis, IN headquarters or remotely. You will work with members of our sales team and prospective clients to build trusting relationships and understand their unique challenges and goals. You will be responsible for selling Mobile Cleanroom solutions into any industries where high-end cleanrooms are needed such as pharmacy compounding, biotechnology, tissue processing, biotechnology, cell & gene therapy (CGT), semiconductor, aerospace, trace metals and medical devices. You will serve as the single point of contact for clients as they explore short and long-term interim Mobile Cleanroom solutions with Modular Devices, and you will work closely with our Cleanroom Engineering team to develop proposals and advance the sales process from initial sales lead to closing.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Identify and target prospective clients in industries requiring cleanroom solutions. Develop a strategic plan to target and engage with key decision-makers in industries such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, healthcare, biotechnology, and manufacturing.
    • Drive sales growth by generating leads, developing relationships, and closing deals. Develop and implement effective sales strategies that build a strong pipeline and actively manage entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
    • Understand client needs and provide tailored cleanroom solutions. Collaborate with technical teams and engineers to develop comprehensive proposals and present them to clients.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests. Provide exceptional customer service ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
    • Coordinate with Engineering, Service, and Project Management to provide accurate updates for customers and for smooth project implementation.
    • Monitor market trends, analyze sales performance, and provide reports. Use data-driven analysis to identify areas for improvement and refine sales strategies.
    • Represent the company at trade shows and networking events. Deliver compelling presentations and engage with potential clients to generate leads and expand the customer base.
    • Forecast sales, track performance, and manage budgets.
    • Continuously learn and develop sales skills in the cleanroom industry. Participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

    Required Knowledge/Skills:
    • Ability to drive market share by listening to clients and developing creative solutions. You’ll be successful by showcasing Modular Devices as a provider of creative innovative cleanroom solutions, not simply products.
    • Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across all levels of an organization (internal and external).
    • Hunter mentality with a demonstrated track record of success and consultative selling.
    • Ability to build relationships in and has understanding of growing biotechnology space.
    • You have very good presentation skills in the customer environment and show team orientation, communication skills and customer orientation.
    • High degree of business acumen to include standard competencies (financial, market positioning, healthcare industry, and customer), to enable sound decisions.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
    • Ability to develop an understanding of product knowledge on all product lines.
    • Achieve business objectives for assigned territory (for example, penetration of account with product/solutions offerings).
    • Guide the development and execution of strategic account plans.
    • Develop, build, and cultivate long-term relationships with key management in the customer organization.
    • Assist management in devising sales plans and strategies, develop forecasts, budgets, and operating plans for product sales channels.
    Education and experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum of 3 years in medical device or capital equipment sales.
    • 5 years’ experience in sales role, biotechnology or cleanroom related roles preferred.
    • Professional sales training like SPIN or Miller-Heiman a plus.
    • Experience with sales quotas, forecasting.
    • Successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
    • Transactional medical or capital equipment sales required.
    • Success with both shorter, high transactional and longer-term sales cycles.
    • Willing to travel up to 25-50%.
