    Description

    Summary: Are you a corporate controller that loves managing the entire monthly close, working with the CFO and executive team to manage expenses for the company and drive EBITDA growth? Do you have experience with Intacct and Salesforce and look to continuously improve our monthly processes? We are looking for someone to be a hands-on individual contributor while managing a team of 8. Are you looking to work in a fast-paced technology company with a strong mission of helping children be successful in school?

    Duties / Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the monthly accounting close including monthly account reconciliations. Manage payroll, general accounting, billing, revenue recognition, and all facets of cash management.
    • Optimize the 13-week cash forecast by owning the banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance the cash position of the company while managing the monthly banking compliance reporting.
    • Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements.
    • Responsible for the annual audit with a history of receiving unqualified opinions.
    • Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, department purchases and employee expense reports utilizing Ramp, corporate payroll tax, income tax, and sales tax compliance.
    • Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings and cash receipts. Improve the process by leveraging Intacct and Paystand capabilities.
    • Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns.
    • As the Intacct administrator, establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, to enhance the company's value.
    • Work with the Director of FP&A and the CFO to comply with all financial results compared to monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and budgets.
    • Oversee the integration and consolidation of the accounting of acquisitions and new product lines.
    • Ensure the company is compliant with all internal and external requirements.

     

    Qualifications


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
    • Minimum 10 years of hands-on accounting and managerial experience
    • Strong understanding of SAAS businesses and ASC606 and ASC 605 revenue recognition
    • Proficiency in Sage Intacct with report writing capabilities.
    • MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CPA certification
    • Proficiency in Paycom or similar third-party payroll processors
    • Experience with expense management tools similar to Ramp.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce order processing and integrations with Sage Intacct.

    Normal Working Hours and Conditions:  Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations. 

    Physical Requirements:  Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including verbally communicating, seeing, and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.  Daily physical functions include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting.  The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds.  The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
