Divisional Controller – Mobile Media Solutions Division
Overview: Mobile Media Storage Solutions has been supplying the retail, agriculture, and other industries for over 30 years. We design, manufacture, and install high-density storage system ranging from a manual system to a mechanically driven system, all designed to save space and increase storage capacity in any commercial setting. From rivet style shelving with particle board or wire grid, to metal tab style with steel shelves to pallet racks, Mobile Media offers a complete one-stop-shop for any customer’s storage needs. Position Reports To: Corporate Controller
Salary Range: $100K - $140K / DOE
Purpose of Position: Contribute to the day-to-day accounting operations of the manufacturing division
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads financial statement preparation and balance sheet reconciliations for subsidiary
- Ensures that accounting records are prepared and designed effectively in accordance with US GAAP
- Completes analytical reviews of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Supports internal control design and performance of controls on-site
- Liaison for integrating operational accounting into shared service model
- Leads efforts to increase in-house inventory accuracy and control by partnering with Operational and Sales managers
- Accounting Business Partner to Operational Business Unit Leadership
- Supports the division in future system implementation projects
- Supports the preparation of deliverables for audit and tax engagements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 7 or more years in progressive accounting responsibilities
- CPA or Advanced Degree preferred
- Public audit experience preferred
- Expert in US GAAP
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
- Willingness to learn, positive attitude and teamwork
- Work experience using MS office tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
