Located in Queens, one of the most diverse counties in the U.S., NYSCI welcomes 400,000 visitors annually, including families, students on field trips, and camp and after school groups. The Controller is responsible for leading all accounting functions, annual audit, 990 completion, general ledger and cash management, accounts payable/receivable, ensure compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and produce monthly financial statements and other financial reports.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is a key leader on the Finance team responsible for the oversight of day-to-day accounting operations and reporting activities. With a direct report, the Controller oversees accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and generates financial statements and other reports as needed. This leader will ensure NYSCI has the appropriate systems and procedures in place to support sound audits, treasury management, and support the development and maintenance of accounting practices and procedures to ensure compliant and timely financial reporting.
Commensurate with education, skills and experience; salary range is $165,000 - $175,000 per annum.
