This position requires you to be in the details 80% of the time, managing the day-to-day financials. The remaining 20% is devoted to strategic thinking, supporting the firms growth and finding ways to better streamline processes, expand client value, and maximize resources. This is an all encompassing position from an accounting perspective, owning the entire function, it is not a delegator role! The company has a very technology progressive back office and many things are automated. Payroll is outsourced. The last week of each month is focused in heavy analytics providing dash boards, doing deep dives on each revenue stream, client and team to help the company maximize profitability.
Financial Managment
1. Provide detailed and complete financials by the 10th of each month
2. Maintain and update company dashboards, projections, and budgets monthly.
3. Collaborate with CPA for annual taxes and ensure tax compliance.
4. Discuss with the Leadership team financial and employee performance and draw attention to opportunities
Team performance
1. Update company dashboards
2. Pull numbers and metrics on Late payments, Client issues, Cashflow, Staff issues with billing/write-offs, etc., Cash Investments
3. Responsible for all A/R and all A/P
4. Manage all expenses
HR Financial Management:
1. Oversee payroll processing, 401K management, and insurance functions.
2. Work closely with HR on the financial aspects of health insurance and other benefits.
Strategic Involvement:
1. Participate in annual retreats and strategic planning.
2. Provide strategic financial guidance to support company objectives and growth.
The company utilizes Slack and Google docs/sheets, etc. The company primarily runs on Macs, although the person in this role can have a PC. There are many technology progressive tools, and if you aren't excited and committed to learning a lot of new technology tools, this is probably not the role for you.
