    Direct Reports: (3) - Accounting Manager, Billing Supervisor, Credit Manager

    Position Summary: The Division Controller is a strategic and financial leader who will partner with the President, Kuhlman Corporation, and will collaborate with the operating division s executive team. The division encompasses Kuhlman Corporation, M&R Ready Mix, and Williams Concrete. The Division Controller will oversee financial reporting and day-to-day management of the accounting functions of the division and drive influence of exceptional and efficient operations. This position will also work collaboratively across other divisions.to ensure company-wide consistency.

    Work Hours: Normally Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines.

    Compensation: Full-time salaried position, with comprehensive employee benefits.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leads the operations of the department which includes accounts payable, billing & collections, and payroll.
    • Prepares month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis.
    • Administers company accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Maintains all financial records as well as reporting on regional performance.
    • Oversees all cost accounting, budgeting, planning, and procedural controls.
    • Prepares cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management.
    • Processes in-house, weekly payroll for approximately 50 employees
    • Drives the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection.
    • Presents monthly financial reports to executive team and stakeholders.
    • Ensures performance of timely variance analyses.
    • Develops working relationships with operations managers to ensure a strong understanding of the various lines of business. Provide support with financial analysis where needed.
    • Evaluates, implements, and streamlines policies, procedures, controls, and most methodologies.
    • Researches, plans, and implements Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements, as needed.
    • Manages the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitors monthly.
    • Adheres to and complies with tax and labor laws.
    • Supports Treasury functions for the organization.
    • Helps to plan and facilitate various division meetings throughout the year.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor s degree in accounting/finance required.
    • MBA/CPA a plus
    • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting areas.
      • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting principles, methods, techniques, standards, and metrics.
      • 3 years of financial and accounting experience in highway construction and/or materials is a plus.
    • Proficient with Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven analytical skills.
    • Proven track record of preparing business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Ability to demonstrate initiative.
