Financial Division Controller
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Financial Division Controller to join our Regional Beef accounting team at the Corporate office in Greeley, Colorado. The focus of this role is the financial side of the business unit accounting function. This includes working with plant and corporate accounting teams as well as business leadership to provide accurate and actionable information, while increasing efficiency and focusing on process improvements. In this position, you will manage 2 employees , including an Accountant and a Senior Accountant .
Responsibilities:- Oversee budget and expense reporting
- Oversee the daily forecast and weekly P&L reporting
- Oversee i nventory m anagement reporting
- Oversee month end close process
- Oversee b alance s heet reconciliation
- Provide leadership in establishing and monitoring compliance with our internal accounting controls (SOX compliance)
- Assist in preparation and reporting of annual budget
- Focus on improved processes, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Lead other members of the regional accounting team at corporate - focus ing on development and teamwork
- Collaborate with management to provide reporting and analytics
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance , or related field required
- 5-10 years in an accounting role required
- Experience with Plant P&L Statements is beneficial
- Experience in SAP, Business Objects, and other systems is helpful
- Plant Operational accounting, cattle , or meat experience desired
- Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical and problem - solving skills
- Ability to work as a member and a leader of a team
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel required
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
- Passion for the industry and accounting
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations . Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :- Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $120,000-$150,000 ; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
