    Summary:

    Information Technology Services is a team of dedicated professionals providing core technology and cybersecurity services to agencies statewide, enabling state employees to serve Idaho's citizens. We sincerely hope you will consider being part of our success. The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) currently has an opening for a Business Analyst (BA) position in the Chinden office in Boise. This position will be part of the ITS Application Services Team which includes Application Software Development, Data Base Administration, Application Hosting and GIS. The BA will evaluate agency business requirements in order to assist in project prioritization, agency strategic alignment and project requirements development in order to ensure maximum value to the state for all project investments. This position works directly with all of the Application Development, Application Support, Database Administration, and GIS teams to deliver customer products. Technical knowledge of best practice software solutions and products is required. The selected individual must have the ability to ensure alignment between agency business needs and business system design and functionality in a variety of computer systems across a wide range of Idaho State agencies. This position will facilitate new and enhanced business system functionality, improve, and refine existing business processes, develop business requirements, and communicate project and business goals between product owners and teams at ITS involved with the implementation. The BA will work with ITS Team members, including another BA to continuously refine and optimize operations in the ITS Application Services Team. Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check. Example of Duties:

    Evaluate agency needs, operations, services, and statutory obligations to develop and recommend best possible solutions

    Perform role as a Product Owner for one or more software development teams

    Coordinate the gathering and reconciliation of detailed business requirements and systems requirements for system development.
