    OVERVIEW
    Vaco Dallas is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Vice President of Information Technology for a direct hire opportunity in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The SVP of IT is a pioneering leader in educational technology solutions, committed to revolutionizing learning experiences globally. With a relentless focus on innovation and excellence, they will empower individuals and organizations to achieve their highest potential through transformative digital solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving organizational growth and impact through transformative digital solutions.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive the transformation process by developing and executing strategic initiatives to align technology capabilities with evolving business needs and market trends.

    • Lead the establishment of a robust data factory and Learning Management System (LMS) factory, leveraging expertise in the Microsoft platform to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

    • Oversee expansion plans by strategically adding development personnel, enhancing infrastructure, and leveraging offshore resources to manage complex IT tasks effectively.

    • Prioritize data monetization efforts, focusing on leveraging training and accident data to drive business insights and revenue generation. Direct the development of an innovative app for tracking training and driving activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs.

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish strategic partnerships and vendor relationships, enhancing platform capabilities and accelerating time-to-market. Develop long-term strategies, including the creation of three main divisions with dedicated product owners/leaders, to drive sustained growth and innovation.

    • Manage the development platform, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

    • Oversee data management efforts, including Geotab data and third-party data sources, to drive actionable insights and informed decision-making.

    • Utilize Power BI for advanced data analytics and reporting, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

    • Develop and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business objectives, market trends, and customer requirements.

    • Lead the development and enhancement of our learning management platform, driving innovation and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that meet customer needs.

    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    • Define and maintain the architecture and design principles for our platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

    • Define and prioritize the product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, enhancements, and new product initiatives.

    • Build and develop a high-performing technology team, including recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching team members to drive excellence and innovation.

    • Evaluate and manage strategic technology partnerships, vendors, and third-party solutions to enhance platform capabilities and accelerate time-to-market.

    • Establish and enforce best practices for software development, quality assurance, and release management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products.

    • Ensure that our platform meets industry standards and regulatory requirements for data security, privacy, and compliance.

    • Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, sales, and customer success teams to align technology initiatives with business goals and customer needs.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms, including Azure and SQL, with expertise in Learning Management Systems (LMS) considered advantageous.

    • Proven track record of leadership and success in technology roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and product management.

    • Experience implementing data monetization architecture, with preferred experience in Azure and Snowflake.

    • Demonstrated success in IT transformation, including the consolidation of multiple applications.

    • Experience building and leading lean IT organizations, leveraging both in-house and external resources effectively.

    • Experience leading and managing technology teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

    • Strong technical background in software architecture, design, and development, with proficiency in modern technologies and frameworks.

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for driving innovation and delivering value to customers.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in the education or e-learning industry is a plus.

    • Proven experience in consolidating data from various sources, including personal data, real-time analytics/Geo Tabs, and weather/traffic/news information, into a unified data lake.

    • Local to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

    • Strong background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), with demonstrated experience in leveraging these technologies to drive business insights and innovation.


    In our commitment to transparency throughout the hiring process, we provide a target annual base salary range of $185,000 - $225,000 for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) experience, work location, and skills. Additionally, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits, bonus, and possible equity provided by the hiring employer.
