The PC Tech is responsible for installing and maintaining all Personal Computer (PC) hardware, software, and peripherals. Responsible for applying updates, and patches and scheduling routine preventative maintenance. The PC Tech will assist in the support of the resolution process of customer and vendor hardware and software problems and special customer requests (MIS Requests) generated from the various Commonwealth Health entities and personnel. The PC Tech is part of the second level of on-call personnel and is responsible for reasonable personal computer performance.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in PC software and hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair is preferred. Must have knowledge of commonly used workstation software and hardware. Demonstrate ability to work with and through people at all organizational levels. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in an analytical and objective manner with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and complete tasks and project assignments in a timely manner.
