The Law Office of Paul J. Garrity is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys in a dynamic legal environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.
Assist with document preparation, including drafting and proofreading legal documents.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
Utilize Microsoft Office suite for various tasks, including word processing and spreadsheet management.
Learn to file electronically on PACER and state court systems under the guidance of the hiring manager.
Perform general office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting clients.
Opportunity to earn extra income by caring for an attorney's dog while in the office (optional).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Prior experience in a legal environment is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
