    Job Description:
    • Develop research programs incorporating current industry developments to improve existing products and study potential of new products
    • Oversee all aspects of research program and experiments
    • Report to senior management on technical issues and developments
    • Present at in-house monthly agronomist meetings, company sponsored grower events, and industry conferences on research findings and other educational findings
    • Establish and maintain testing procedures for assessing ROI on products
    • Manage research associate staff and utilization of resources
    • Oversee budgeting and cost forecasting of research programs
    • Develop revenue sources from research efforts
    • Implement and monitor research and development strategies
    • Work with growers to monitor field trials, gather data (yield, quality, programs, etc)
    • Work with agronomists to determine in field challenges and research ways and products to solve them
    • Develop accessible and searchable database for internal use of results of research projects, reference articles, and proposed programs by crop.
    • Serve as sounding board, reference point, and backstop for agronomic questions for in-field agronomists
    Educational or Training Requirements
    • PhD preferred, but minimum of a Masters with extensive R&D and statistical analysis background
    • 5 years of R&D experience
    • Agronomy, plant science, or similar degree required.
    • Ag background or experience preferred
    • Personable and a dynamic presenter
