This is a full-time, direct placement role at Kemco of Burlington, Inc.

Provides cost estimates for projects involving the installation of a variety of HVAC and Building Automation Controls systems in Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial facilities. Prepares bids, budget proposal estimates, and design/build proposals in accordance with Kemco work standards.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Develops work plans and sets project goals and milestones to accomplish work in a timely manner.
• Defines project resources (labor, material, equipment, tools, and subcontractors) within budgetary constraints
• Prices Project change orders
• Works with venders to resolve material order issues
• Assists with project staffing, defining project plans, setting project goals and deadlines, and evaluating performance
• Develops and presents project scope to customers
• Presents proposals to potential customers

Requirements

Required:

• Proficient with reading technical drawings and producing a takeoff
• Knowledge of applicable and current building and NEC code requirements
• Ability to be productive under limited supervision
• Experience with producing project cost estimates
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Able to multitask on multiple projects
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the commercial electrical industry
• HS Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 2 Years’ Experience
• Experience with Takeoff & Cost Estimating Software utilization
• Negotiation Skills

Visual Acuity

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

• The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
