Bottorff Tax, LLC, is a small business in Vermillion, SD. Our goal is to provide a great service for individuals, mainly in the farming, ranching and small business industry.

This position is an administrative assistant to a sole proprietor who performs bookkeeping and tax preparation services. Responsibilities include front-of-house duties like greeting clients, answering phones and email, and performing monthly bookkeeping. During tax season, this position involves organizing documents, pulling client files and checking for county taxes, putting together tax return folders, and various related tasks.

Summer Hours
Monday - Thursday, 8am-4pm
Friday, 8am - 1pm

Tax Season (December though April)
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Required:

• No history of financial crimes or bankruptcy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & Outlook
• Attention to detail
• Excellent data entry skills
• Ability to multitask and navigate a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills

Duties:

• Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
• Filing and organizing digital documents in an efficient and systematic manner
• Provide clerical work as assigned, such as answering phones, responding to emails, greeting clients
