We are currently seeking a VP, Capital Markets & Senior Assistant Treasurer
Reporting directly to the Treasurer, the VP, Capital Markets & Senior Assistant Treasurer is responsible for supporting the Company’s financial objectives of prudently addressing liquidity needs while managing to a strong balance sheet through:
- Establishing and maintaining solid relationships with financial institutions
- Managing Company’s Treasury financial market risk exposures, inclusive of managing FX mix, fixed and floating interest rates, and counter party exposures
- Managing deal financing from outset to completion, including international money flows and treasury requirements. Deal financing will include capital markets debt and equity transactions, bi-lateral and syndicated loan facilities and export credit facilities.
- Pro-actively suggesting strategies for managing financial markets, capital markets, funding, credit and liquidity exposures.
- Monitoring overall Company financial health and financial covenant compliance and providing ongoing advice for potential improvements and risk mitigation
- Partnering with the business on major initiatives to deliver subject matter expertise in the above areas.
- Leading projects and special reviews, ensuring delivery on an agreed time frame or schedule – either as a project leader or on an individual basis
- Providing leadership and direction to the team, ensuring appropriate resourcing with qualified people, maintaining their ongoing training and development and regularly reviewing their performance against previously agreed performance standards and on-going work plans.
