Scope:
The Office of the State Treasurer (OST) is seeking a dependable and motivated individual experienced in customer service to join our Administrative Support team. This position is one of four positions reporting to the Executive Assistant and is assigned primary reception responsibilities for the office.
As the Administrative Assistant - Receptionist, you will support the organization’s mission by providing a courteous welcome to visitors and guests of the OST whether they are in-person, call by phone, or connect via email. Your responsibilities will include managing meeting room schedules and a variety of other office administrative tasks. The person in this position is required to maintain a high level of confidentiality, will be assigned both supervised and independent work, should have good organizational skills, and have a fundamental understanding of process improvement. The administrative assistant functionality in this position will provide you the opportunity to work closely with staff in other OST divisions providing administrative/clerical support.

Essential Functions:
Clerical/administrative support work and other relevant office related experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Hours of work/location:
The OST takes pride in being a family-friendly and healthy work environment. The OST operates on a standard work week of Monday through Friday with the core business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The duty station for this position is in Olympia, Washington, with the physical location being in the Legislative Building on the Capitol Campus.
OST work schedules are determined by position requirements. This position is required to work in the office a minimum of five (5) days per week with opportunities for schedule flexibility around the required in office hours of 10 am to 2 pm.
Salary and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $40,000 to $54,000. Washington State offers a competitive benefits package.
