E-Commerce Technician
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Assist in the operations of online sales for Goodwill Industries of South Texas. The E-commerce Technician is expected to be courteous and professional while upholding the core Goodwill values of -Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES
· Collect items for online sales through the stores and Distribution Center
· Prepare items for sale online by wiping, cleaning, or making minor repairs
· Research descriptions and collects data about each item to be placed for sale online
· Research value of each item
· Photograph items to be placed for sale online
· Post items for sale online with fair value and accurate description
· Assist with customer inquiries and handles complaints in courteous manner. If necessary, refers customer to E-Commerce Manager
· Appropriately wraps items for shipping
· Prepare items with accurate information on all labels, using appropriate postage
· Keep work area clean and free of unnecessary materials
· Adheres to and enforces safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment, and inventory
· Assist with other assignments as required by E-Commerce Manager
· Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community
· Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals
· Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations
· Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Ability to read and write in English as well as communicate with diverse customer base to provide prompt and courteous service
· Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
· Ability to type 25wpm
· Ability to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and holidays
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook
· One (1) year experience working with online sales a plus
· Must be able to pass background check
PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
· Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods
· Weather conditions – variable – including extreme heat and cold, may work outside for extended periods
· Ability to work in a humid and/or dusty environment
· Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. or more with 2-person assistance
