Grant and Program Administrator

  • Overview:

    Under general supervision, the Grant and Program Administrator administers Albion Economic Development Corporation housing-related and other grant and publicly funded programs. This includes delivering programs as required by funding sources and ensuring program compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. The Grant and Program Administrator develops and strengthens community partnerships, attends events to promote Albion Economic Development Corporation programs, presents new opportunities to the President and CEO and actively solicits feedback from the community through surveys. This position is in person in the office with occasional travel throughout the City of Albion.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Delivers assigned Albion Economic Development Corporation programs including but not limited to working with clients and partners, intakes, evaluating eligibility, reporting, database management, administration and other activities required by the grants and/or programs.
    • Ensures program compliance with federal, state and local regulations and grant guidelines.
    • Fosters alliances within the community by meeting with businesses and organizations to promote the EDC and establish and strengthen partnerships.
    • Presents opportunities for community partnerships to the President/CEO.
    • Fosters synergies by bringing together community resources in order to deliver programs in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
    • Prepares for and attends events onsite and in the community to promote the AEDC and the services being provided.
    • Conducts surveys to assess community needs and obtain feedback on existing programming.

    • Understanding of MSHDA and other publicly funded programs with the ability to transfer knowledge to new programming (preferred).
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply rules, regulations and guidelines associated with economic development programs (helpful).
    • Thorough knowledge of state and local government structure, operations, functions, practices, and procedures (helpful).

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds to move or transport office or event supplies.
    • Reliable transportation is required for occasional local travel within the City of Albion.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $29.75 - $40.25 per hour

    Expected hours: 30 per week
